Metro Connect Heats Up – Preparing to Take on Miami

The team at Global Capacity is looking forward to not only attending – but taking a leadership role, and supporting Metro Connect USA 2012 February 28 & 29th in Miami at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel.  No doubt it is a great time of year to visit Miami, Florida, but it’s also a great opportunity to connect with C-level executives across the metro and local wholesale telecommunications network industry.

Global Capacity is a Lead Sponsor of the event, which is an important link in the chain of engaging over 350 C-Level executive attendees from over 180 organizations. It’s a great forum, presenting extensive networking opportunities, as well as intensive subject matter expertise. Finance and Metro breakout sessions will cater to operational and financial topics, and C-level Strategy sessions will provide attendees with valuable “real” guidance.  In fact, Global Capacity’s own CEO, Patrick Shutt will be participating on a panel with key industry experts titled “Forecasting the Affects of Market Contraction on Competition and Price Compression.”  The panel discussion will be held Tuesday February 28th at 4:30pm   This session will address issues associated with price deceleration and roadmaps to improving pricing, the impact of fewer players, and the wake of recent large-scale consolidations in the metro market

All new this year, Global Capacity has also accepted the honor of sponsoring the Luncheon where the Atlantic-ACM Customer Choice Awards will be hosted. Atlantic-ACM will unveil a prestigious series of research-based industry awards recognizing customer satisfaction metrics derived from 3,500 individual evaluations of metro providers, by their enterprise customers.

The event allows the Global Capacity team to get face-to-face with the community of metro network providers, and showcase its  One Marketplace Access Exchange platform. This platform automates pricing and ordering of access network circuits globally – in a totally transparent and powerful interface.  By creating a marketplace where customers and suppliers connect through a common platform, One Marketplace Access Exchange reduces costs while simplifying the procurement and delivery of access networks. The marketplace provides transparency into global access network pricing and visibility into available capacity across multiple vendors and geographies.
