Email alerts, conference calls, Skype conversations, and the consistent melody of fingers typing on a keyboard, on a daily basis, fill up the “offices” of the iMiller Public Relations team. iMiller Public Relations is not your average, international marketing and public relations company. With many years of telecommunications experience, the iMiller PR team provides insightful and unique guidance to telecommunications companies around the world, yet this is not the only “unique” quality of iMPR. iMiller Public Relations is in fact, a virtual PR company. Each team member takes full advantage of modern technology and works out of their individual, home offices, in various locations throughout the country. Although the team does not physically see each other day to day in an office setting, the communication between the employees is of the highest quality. The ladies of iMPR truly define what it means to be a team.
With such constant communication, the staff almost feels as if they are in a traditional office setting throughout the work week. Although it is appealing to work from a home office, it is also nice to physically interact with others as well and really get to know who your team members are. Ilissa Miller, CEO of iMiller Public Relations, stormed up this exact idea and decided to get the team together for a corporate retreat in Vermont, allowing the team for the first time, to work
together at the same location, at the same time. The retreat was a great way for the iMPR team to bond, get to know one another better and of course, physically work and collaborate with one another, to ensure the best quality of business for their clientele.
The retreat consisted of three days of meetings, collaboration, great company and delicious food. The iMPR team was able to sit down and discuss current projects and project plans for the future. Each team member was also given an opportunity to discuss their personal role in the company and by doing so, the iMPR team was able to get to know one another better. One of the most important meetings of the retreat was one that discussed, in depth, each of iMPR’s clients. The team was able to extensively review their client’s “portfolios,” learning more about them, helping to provide the best quality of PR and marketing services to their clients. Although a great deal of work was accomplished throughout the retreat, the iMiller team did have their fun. Each day, the team enjoyed delicious meals at a few local restaurants and were able to listen to some amazing entertainment, right at their own table! The multi-talented Ilissa Miller brought a beautiful opera performance with her, wherever the team went, singing some of her favorite opera songs. Although Ilissa may have an angelic voice, she did have some competition at 4 o’clock in the morning, when two owls decided to screech on the top of their lungs, almost waking up the entire team!
The iMiller corporate retreat in Vermont was an overall fantastic way to get a virtual PR team together. They not only were able to accomplish numerous work-related tasks, but the team was also able to share some great company and memories with one another. The retreat helped the team grow and become an even stronger marketing and public relations company than they already were!
