What would you do in the event of a natural disaster, security threat, virus or computer crime? More often than not, the true impact of these business interruptions is realized too late or after the fact. Your enterprise cannot afford to lose any of its mission-critical information and network failure can be expensive. In fact, even a few minutes of downtime would wreak havoc on your organization, seriously affecting your business and causing large amounts of financial loss.
According to recent research from SDN Communications, 87 percent of businesses that go more than seven days without access to their corporate data go out of business within one year. Additionally, 80 percent of businesses that experience a major disaster but fail to implement a contingency plan will fall into liquidation within 18 months.
For this reason, downtime is not an option. In order to survive in today’s competitive market, companies must have a presence that extends beyond the immediate physical location.
Lam Cloud is a leading provider of Business Continuity, Workplace Recovery, Data Center and Network solutions, including over 3,000 work desks, desktop and server virtualization, secure backup, storage and archiving, and virtual office environments. The company has also developed strategic alliances with a variety of proven DR/WR/BC partners to deliver a comprehensive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solution to customers in the New Jersey/New York Metro market as well as across the U.S.; these include Agility Recovery, Brocade, Risk Masters, Inc. and Telx, amongst others.
A Lam Cloud solution will ensure that your business is supplied with 100 percent uptime and all of the scalability, reliability and security your company needs for a secure and efficient solution. This means that in the event that your network goes down, your business will keep on operating as usual, even in the event that your office is not accessible and your equipment is damaged beyond repair.
Additionally, customers can take advantage of Lam Cloud’s proven Business Continuity offerings, including BC planning, stress tests, gap analyses and business impact analyses. Your company will gain access to everything it needs for a complete DR solution at a fraction of the cost, without having to worry about any of the headaches that come with unexpected business interruptions. Additionally, there will be no reason to worry about how to run a business without a physical location. Revenue, reputation and customer trust will remain unscathed.

Pacnet’s equity joint venture in China, Pacnet Business Solutions (China) (“PBS”), was recently awarded an Internet Data Center (IDC) license by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The IDC license allows Pacnet to expand its network footprint throughout China and deliver data center network services in Chongqing, a marquee megacity and hub for the company’s data center network throughout China and the rest of the APAC region.
Pacnet is the first foreign invested company to be issued a license to provide data center network services in Chongqing since the MIIT’s announcement in December 2012 to resume the grant of new licenses. To obtain the license, PBS underwent a stringent evaluation of its Internet Content Provider Record-keeping Management; Accessing Resource Management; Information Security Management; and Datacenter Operation Security Management systems.
Pacnet’s Tier III data center in Chongqing fortifies the company’s presence in the region, which includes existing data centers and network Points of Presence (PoPs) in Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Xi’an. The new, self-managed facility is built on Pacnet’s unrivaled infrastructure and offers direct access to PoPs in China as well as Pacnet’s extensive, wholly-owned subsea cable network. The data center is also capable of holding 2,000 racks of carrier-neutral colocation and, like its counterparts, provides flexible, customized solutions to meet the expanding business requirements of multinational organizations across the globe.
