Speakers Invited to Submit Proposals for the October 5-7 Conference in Montréal, Quebec Canada

NANOGAnn Arbor, MI, July 15, 2015 – The North American Network Operators’ Group (NANOG) is pleased to announce the Call for Presentations (CFP) for NANOG 65, hosted by Torix, taking place at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth in Montréal, Quebec, October 5-7, 2015.

The NANOG Program Committee is seeking proposals for presentations, panels, tutorials, tracks sessions, and keynote materials for the NANOG 65 program.  Candidates are encouraged to submit presentations highlighting issues relating to technology already deployed or soon-to-be deployed in the Internet. Presentations are meant to be non-promotional and non-proprietary.  Vendors are encouraged to work with operators to present real-world deployment experiences involving vendor products and interoperability.  NANOG 65 offers opportunities to network with colleagues, sharpen skills, learn advanced networking techniques and discover new network applications.

Submissions in all areas of network operations will be considered, including (but not limited to) topics regarding:

  • Network Engineering, Architecture, and Design – Protocols and configurations to improve resilience, reliability, performance, and/or cost;
  • Power and Facilities – Power reliability and engineering, green power, power efficiency, cooling, and facilities management;
  • Interconnections – Internet Exchanges (IXs), intra-building, MMR, metro-wide connections, peering, and transit purchasing tactics and strategies;
  • Security – Routing security, route filtering of large peers/customers, and inter-AS security and cooperation;
  • Domain Name System (DNS) – DNS data for network metrics, botnet discovery, and geolocation;
  • IPv6 – Real-world deployment challenges, carrier-grade NAT, NAT-PT implementations that work and scale, and allocation strategies;
  • Content – Distribution (p2p, IPTV), content payment models, content distribution technologies and networks, and storage/archiving; and
  • Disaster Recovery – Risk analysis, training, agencies, planning methods, hardware portability, key tools, transport audits, and other lessons learned.

The CFP deadline for presentation abstracts is July 27, 2015.  To submit a presentation for consideration at NANOG 65, use the tool located on the NANOG Program Committee Site.  Lightning talk proposals may be submitted on the Program Committee Site starting October 3, 2015, the first day of the meeting.

The NANOG 65 topic list will be posted August 14, 2015.  The final NANOG 65 agenda will be published September 7, 2015.
