Pacnet has announced the appointment of Keith Russell Shaw, a telecommunications and engineering veteran with over 30 years of experience, as its new Director of Data Center Sales for the Carrier Market. Shaw, headquartered in Hong Kong, is responsible for overseeing all data center requirements for Pacnet’s global carrier customers, leveraging the company’s unparalleled infrastructure backbone in the Asia-Pacific region. This appointment serves as a strategic step towards furthering Pacnet’s goal of expanding its data center footprint throughout APAC in order to meet the increasing compute, storage and power demands of its global carrier customers.
The integrated network and technology solutions firm currently operates data centers in 14 major markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, most recently launching its brand new facility in Chongqing and completing a data center expansion project in Sydney. Pacnet also recently announced new plans to build an advanced data center facility in Singapore.
According to John Garrett, President of Carrier Services for Pacnet, Shaw will prove instrumental to Pacnet as the organization enters its next phase of strategic investment in data center services targeted at the carrier market. Shaw has a proven track record within the industry, holding senior-level positions at a variety of telco companies. Prior to working at Pacnet, Shaw served as Head of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Asia at SEACOM and Director of Sales, Asia-Pacific & Africa Regions at Interoute. He has also worked as Sales Director, Europe, at CNT, an IBM affiliate, and Dynegy. Shaw began his career as an apprentice at BT Global Services, progressing to a Data Sales Specialist by the end of his tenure in 2000 when he then went on to serve as European Sales Director at Pangea Networks, Ltd. for two years.

Over 170 of Lam Cloud’s customers, media, friends and family converged in the conference center of the company’s Cranbury, NJ-based Technology Campus on Thursday, November 14th for its inaugural open house. President Lawrence Lam kicked-off the event with an introduction to Lam Cloud and its expansive portfolio of Flexible Work Area and Disaster Recovery™ solutions. Following Mr. Lam’s introduction, attendees enjoyed presentations by Andrew Blum, Author of Tubes: A Journey to the Center of the Internet, who presented on The Grass-Fed Internet; Marvin Wainschel, Founder & CEO of McWains Chelsea, Inc., who presented ‘This is W. A. R.! How to Calculate Requirements for Work Area Recovery’; and Paul Sullivan, VP & GM, Agility Recovery Services, whose presentation was titled ‘A Year in Review: Valuable Lessons Learned and Best Practices’.
Once the presentations concluded, guests enjoyed light appetizers, refreshments and Lam Cloud-branded giveaways while networking with fellow attendees, exhibitors and the Lam Cloud team.
