AUSTIN, TX – February 9, 2022Quantum Loophole, Inc., an innovative developer of first-of-its-kind master planned data center communities, is pleased to serve as the host sponsor for NANOG 84 in Austin, Texas. The 84th community-wide gathering takes place February 14-16, 2022 and features a keynote address from “mother of the Internet,” Radia Perlman.

Opening the meeting, Josh Snowhorn will introduce Quantum Loophole via a custom video. He will narrate details of Quantum Frederick, the company’s 2,100 acre development in Frederick County, Maryland. Frederick County is less than one-millisecond from Northern Virginia. As data center gravity continues in the region, developing scalable land, power, water, and fiber infrastructure  is key to enabling further growth. Quantum Loophole’s development site was strategically selected to serve as an extension of the tightening Northern Virginia data center market.

“It’s great that Quantum Loophole is able to support and be the Host Sponsor of NANOG 84 right here in Austin,” says Josh Snowhorn, Quantum Loophole founder and CEO. “These have always been great events and I hope everyone can come join us Monday night for a little hospitality as we co-sponsor the social with NANOG.”

Quantum Loophole is co-sponsoring, along with NANOG, Monday evening’s social event at nearby Stubb’s Bar-B-Q from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Transportation will be available from the hotel beginning at 6:45 pm. A NANOG badge and a temperature check will be required for entry. More safety and travel information to and around Austin is on the event website.

For those interested in the keynote, Radia Perlman is expected to share her thoughts on some of the bad decisions that have been made by the industry that ultimately led to good technologies that may otherwise never have been introduced. In addition, APNIC chief scientist Geoff Huston will share his thoughts on DNS openness and there will be several takes on RPKI from different perspectives. Program details are on the NANOG website.

NANOG 84 will take place both physically and virtually.  Registration for the virtual event is free.  Details about the event can be found at www.nanog.org.  To get the latest on what Quantum Loophole plans and the progress of its gigawatt-scale data center community, the company’s leadership team will be in town and available for meetings.
