Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cox, Charter and Lightpath are top ranked providers
BOSTON, MA, MARCH 16, 2015 – Time Warner Cable, Comcast,Comcast, Charter and Lightpath are the top Cable MSOs selling Carrier Ethernet services in the U.S., according to Vertical Systems Group’s latest research. These companies are listed on Vertical’s 2014 U.S. Cable MSO Ethernet LEADERBOARD ranked by share of billable U.S. retail ports delivered by cable operators as of year-end 2014.
Each of these five companies has achieved either a LEADERBOARD rank or a Challenge Tier citation on the 2014 U.S. Carrier Ethernet LEADERBOARD, the benchmark for measuring Ethernet market presence in the U.S.
“The Cable MSO segment remained the fastest growing overall in 2014, garnering growth that considerably outpaced the Incumbent Carrier and Competitive Provider segments,” said Rick Malone, principal at Vertical Systems Group. “Already established in metro markets, leading cable companies are fortifying their Ethernet offerings to meet the needs of larger businesses with regional and nationwide networks.”
