Companies align to deliver key data center and interconnection services for growing southeast region
ATLANTA, February 10, 2015 – Colo Atl, the leading provider of network-neutral colocation, data center and interconnection solutions at 55 Marietta Street in Atlanta, GA, announces today that Allied Fiber, the United States’ first open-access, integrated, network-neutral colocation and dark fiber superstructure, has joined Colo Atl’s growing list of network operators and service providers. The company’s partnership with Colo Atl is part of its fiber build across the Southeast, extending 700 miles from Miami, FL to Atlanta, GA.
In addition to Colo Atl’s strategic location in Downtown Atlanta, complementing the new Southeast Route, Allied Fiber joins long-time partner Colo Atl for its SSAE 16 certified colocation facility and ability to provide N+1 redundancy and access to multiple tier-1 network operators. The Colo Atl facility is also home to the Georgia Technology Center (GTC), a test bed and live production facility for network communications equipment; and the Southeast Network Access Point (SNAP). SNAP provides next-generation Internet Exchange (IX) solutions, including SDN peering, testing and implementation.
