February 8, 2018 — Aqua Comms DAC (“Aqua Comms”), the operator of Ireland’s first dedicated subsea fibre-optic network interconnecting New York, Dublin and London, announces today that its Chief Executive Officer, Nigel Bayliff and Chief Network Officer, Andy Hudson will speak at Submarine Networks Europe 2018 in London.
On Tuesday, 20 February, at 9:00 a.m., Mr. Bayliff will join other subsea and technology sector executives on the keynote panel discussion, “The Evolution of the Subsea Industry.” Mr. Bayliff, having 30 years of experience encompassing senior executive, operational and technical roles in the global telecommunications industry, will explore how content providers are changing the subsea cable industry and the effect of connecting new Points of Presence (PoPs) on network planning.
During the second day of the conference, Mr. Hudson will join executives from Xtera and Pioneer Consulting on the panel, “Averting the Capacity Crunch – Demystifying How Design Constraints Will Challenge Design Capacity Growth Assumptions.” Mr. Hudson, bringing almost 30 years of experience in the national and international telecoms arena, will discuss the extent to which the previous assumptions about the expansion of System Design Capacity will be challenged by physical design constraints
