Bluewater Regional Network (BRN), an affiliate of Bluewater Power Group, a Sarnia, Ontario, Canada-based company since 1916, announces a brand new route connecting Canada to the US.  Bluewater Regional Network was created to provide a community-owned network solution to bridge the digital divide for companies in the region and beyond. In January 2021, Bluewater Regional Network announced their brand new Canada-US cross border terrestrial network, with a go live date of March 1, 2021, providing a unique and diverse path for North American connectivity

The new cross border network provides a low latency, direct connection between Toronto, ON, Canada and Chicago, IL, USA by way of a crossing that offers redundant and diverse connectivity between Toronto and Chicago with on and off ramps in Sarnia, ON; Port Huron and Lapeer, MI. BRN’s network is a new, non-incumbent route, interconnecting with other networks for easy end-to-end delivery throughout North America. As a result of its new route network operators now have the ability to design unique network solutions throughout Canada and the US.
