Data Center POST (DCP) Question: International Telecoms Week is one of the industry’s largest and most important events for the year, what type of company do you work for and what are you looking forward to accomplishing at ITW 2023?

Mike Underdown, CEO, Crosstown Fiber (MU) Answer: Crosstown Fiber is a metro-focused subsurface dark fiber infrastructure company currently focused on initiatives in the Midwest. However, we’re always looking to develop new networks wherever demand calls for. We would like to ensure that the industry is aware of what we do and how our capabilities are unique, secure and in high capacity.

DCP Q: The first ITW Keynote panel features some of the industry’s largest players sharing their perspectives of the industry.  What is the top trend that you and your company has its sights on, and why?

MU A: We focus on enabling broadband services, whether fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), wireless, or cloud connectivity. We are seeing tremendous growth in these and a few other areas in infrastructure and broadband.

DCP Q: What are you most looking forward to sharing about your company at ITW 2023?

MU A: The coverage and capacity of our fiber network in the Chicagoland market.
