Chayora to Unveil its Shanghai Data Centre Plans at Event Taking Place 14-15 September
Hong Kong, 12 September 2016 — Chayora Limited, a Hong Kong-based data centre infrastructure company, announces today its participation in DCDConverged SE Asia, taking place 14-15 September 2016 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. During the event, Chayora’s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Oliver Jones, will give a presentation on the challenges and opportunities of data centre builds and investments in China on Wednesday, 14 September at 15:50 in Hall 1 of the Convention Centre.
Chayora’s participation at the event will provide attendees with insights and highlight opportunities for managing and operating data centres in China, a market largely untapped by private operators and external hyper-scale companies. The scale of the China market is well known and recognised by most international participants in the data centre market, as are the many challenges. However, the opportunities associated with the exciting and adaptive culture of Chinese businesses are often overlooked. China has repeatedly leapt generations in product and service development across power, telecommunications and technology, and this attitude and capability offers innovative entrants to China with new options to transform more traditional and legacy bound data centre environments.
During his presentation, Mr Jones will also preview Chayora’s new data centre in Shanghai, a significant scale, international-standard data centre set to be launched in this key market. The fully enabled, state-of-the-art, licensed data centre will offer a range of options for international customers and leading Chinese technology business, including build-to-suit, assured scalability and wholesale colocation.
“On behalf of Chayora, I’m excited to participate in DCDConverged SE Asia,” states Mr Jones. “There’s no question that there is an immense data centre boom across Asia, driven by the millions of internet-ready devices and various innovations in the cloud and data centre space. At Chayora, we are focused on China as the largest single national market and see the very close linkages with existing Asian technology cities, in particular Singapore, as a prime destination for international cloud and enterprise end-users building regional presence. Our development of world-class data centre campuses will leverage many lessons learned in South East Asia and we expect these will influence the creation of new technology districts in key cities across China.”
Chayora also has plans to develop data centre campus locations in other key locations across China, including Tianjin, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Guangzhou. These facilities will enable multinational companies and colocation operators to effectively access the vast and rapidly developing Chinese market, providing the most reliable and assured route to business engagement in the region. All Chayora data centre sites have fully provisioned power from grid and direct-feed renewable sources, and are fibre connected to world-class standards and ready for data centre construction and immediate connection to the domestic internet.
DCDConverged SE Asia converges the ecosystem of IT and data centre professionals, businesses, government agencies and industry associations that are enabling Singapore’s “Smart Nation” movement through the cloud, data center and innovative technology. The event coincides with Singapore Datacenter Week, which is scheduled for 13-16 September.
Chayora’s executive team will be hosting a special invitation drinks event at DCDConverged SE Asia for industry delegates. To receive your invitation, please email chayora@imillerpr.com.
