In an age where connectivity is key to economic development, education, healthcare, and beyond, initiatives to expand broadband infrastructure are of paramount importance. Bluebird Network, a leading communications infrastructure provider, is embarking on a significant endeavor to bolster connectivity across the Midwest. With over 11,000 miles of fiber and two data centers under its belt, Bluebird Network is now seeking bids from vendors to advance its latest project – a substantial fiber build supported by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Middle Mile Grant award.
The project entails a comprehensive Engineering Design and Environmental Assessment, crucial steps in ensuring the successful implementation of the fiber build. Vendors interested in participating in this endeavor are invited to submit proposals via the Bluebird RFP submission webpage. The deadline for submissions is April 4, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
Prospective vendors can access all necessary documentation and information regarding the project at Bluebird Network’s dedicated RFP submission page. This includes the RFP Template, proposed fiber route KMZ layer, Master Construction Agreement, Professional Services Agreement, and a comprehensive collection of Frequently Asked Questions.
The selection of a vendor will be based on a thorough evaluation process, considering factors such as the ability to meet project requirements, customer references, solution approach, pricing, and other criteria outlined in the RFP.
