Datalec Precision Installations (DPI), a leader in data centre design, supply, build, and managed services, has announced a significant expansion into the Middle East with a new manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This 51,000-square-foot facility in Dubai will serve as DPI’s Regional Head Office and is set to be fully operational by the end of Summer 2024.

The new facility will produce aisle containment and security caging to DPI’s exacting standards, mirroring the company’s European manufacturing capabilities. This strategic move underscores DPI’s commitment to the Middle East, a region experiencing substantial growth in data centre investments.

“Sustainability was not just a consideration, but a key factor in our site selection,” says Sean Christie, Projects Director for Datalec in the Middle East. The facility features a 450-kilowatt rooftop solar array, providing on-site renewable power, and is strategically located near national air and sea freight infrastructure to improve project delivery lead times and reduce transportation emissions. Additionally, most supply chain materials are sourced locally within a 20-kilometre radius.
