November 27, 2018 — Deep Blue Cable, the developer, owner and operator of a state-of-the-art subsea fibre-optic system providing connectivity across the Caribbean islands and to the Americas, announces today that its Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Scott and Chief Technology Officer, Alasdair Wilkie, will speak at Subsea Americas 2018, taking place 3-4 December 2018 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

On Monday, 3 December at 1:30 PM, Mr. Scott will join key executives on the panel “Next-Generation Subsea Routes – Identifying the New and Geographically Diverse Routes Through South, Central and North America.” The panel will explore the offerings of new high capacity systems, where geographically remote and diverse locations remain underserved with bandwidth infrastructure, why the underserved routes are attractive to investors and which technologies have facilitated quicker and cheaper cable builds.

The following day, Tuesday, 4 December at 11:45 AM, Mr. Wilkie will participate on the topic, “Life After 25? – Exploring the Options on Offer in Prolonging the Lifespan of a Subsea System.”  He will join panelists in discussing how cable owners can monitor the cables to detect early signs of ageing, what options there are for increasing capacity and upgrading legacy networks and what pressing questions cable owners should be asking themselves as their subsea systems approach the 15 year milestone.
