November 15, 2017 – Deep Blue Cable, the developer, owner and operator of a state-of-the-art subsea fibre-optic system providing connectivity across the Caribbean islands and to the Americas, has announced that its CTO, Alasdair Wilkie, will speak at the World Ocean Council: The Sustainable Ocean Summit 2017 in Halifax, Canada. Mr. Wilkie is also the Chairman of the Atlantic Cable Maintenance Agreement, a non-profit cooperative cable maintenance agreement whose members are companies responsible for the operations and maintenance of undersea communications and power cables, as well as Oil & Gas Platform operators in the Atlantic, North Sea, and Southeastern Pacific Ocean.
Mr. Wilkie will join other panel memsubseabers on the Plenary Session, Ocean 2030: Ocean Industry Projections and the Future of the Ocean Economy to discuss topics covering ocean transportation, energy, food, tourism, communications and minerals.
