EdgeConneX® is now a strategic partner of Host in Ireland, the global initiative for encouraging businesses to host digital assets on the Emerald Isle.
Ireland is now a prime location for hosting data. Its data center industry provides enhanced connectivity, cost control, security and renewable energy for businesses of all sizes. Host in Ireland, which operates out of Dublin and through satellite offices in New York, defines five key elements (called the “5 Ps”) as the foundation of its success: Policy, People, Pedigree, Pipes and Power.
In joining Host in Ireland, EdgeConneX will support the group’s mission and Phill Lawson-Shanks, chief architect and vice president of innovation at EdgeConneX, has been named to Host in Ireland’s Executive Committee. The Executive Committee supports all aspects of the Host in Ireland initiative through strategic guidance, collaboration and business advocacy efforts.
“We are delighted to welcome EdgeConneX to Host in Ireland’s growing team of distinguished partner companies,” Host in Ireland Founder and President Garry Connolly stated following the announcement. “The company’s leading edge-of-network infrastructure solutions are expanding and improving access to wireless and data communications, and represent a much-needed paradigm shift. Meanwhile, we extend a warm welcome to Mr. Lawson-Shanks, who has been designing and deploying industry-leading data center solutions in both the UK and the U.S. for over 25 years, to Host in Ireland’s Executive Committee.”
Lawson-Shanks also expressed his excitement about working with Host in Ireland.
“Host in Ireland’s partner companies have been instrumental to the establishment of Ireland as a world leader in the digital assets hosting landscape,” Lawson-Shanks said. “I am honored to join my esteemed industry colleagues on the organization’s Executive Committee and plan to lend my unique insights and perspectives to help elevate Ireland’s position within the global hosting community.”
