Company to celebrate the opening of its new office to support 176-mile fiber network expansion
WHAT: Empire Access, a Northeast fiber-based internet service provider, is holding a ribbon cutting and press conference to celebrate the opening of its new office and the launch of its fiber optic network expansion in Scranton. The office’s location in Scranton provides Empire Access with the accessibility to its customers as well as being local to the community it’s providing fiber too.

Empire Access’ CEO Jim Baase will give attendees a first look at the new office which supports its fiber optic buildout and will speak about the company’s efforts to bolster connectivity in Pennsylvania and New York communities. There will also be a champagne toast marking the occasion, a Rail Riders season ticket raffle, and refreshments. Empire Access executives will answer questions people may have about the company’s services; we’re expecting city officials to join us as well.
BACKGROUND: Empire Access began construction of its Scranton expansion in September 2023 with an initial 86-mile buildout, which will reach 176 miles when phase two is completed later this year.
