Aureon, a trusted name in technology solutions, has unveiled its 2025 scholarship initiatives to foster the next generation of STEM and technology professionals in Iowa. Through two dedicated programs—the Aureon STEM Scholarship and the Aureon Scholarship for Technology Students—the company aims to provide significant financial support to high school students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

Investing in STEM Talent from Rural Communities

Since its inception in 2003, the Aureon STEM Scholarship Program has played a pivotal role in supporting students from Iowa’s rural areas served by Iowa Telecommunications Company (ITC) owners. To date, the program has awarded over $150,000 to promising STEM students enrolled in accredited institutions across the state. This year, the program has expanded to offer $10,000 in total awards, divided among the top six applicants. Eligible candidates must reside in ITC-served communities, hold a minimum GPA of 3.33, and gain acceptance to an Iowa-based four-year college, university, community college, or vocational-technical school.

Complementing the STEM Scholarship, the Aureon Scholarship for Technology Students targets high school juniors and seniors from Iowa’s metro areas directly served by Aureon, including Des Moines, West Des Moines, and Davenport. This program aims to encourage students pursuing technology-focused degrees and offers $5,000 in total awards. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00, reside in one of the designated communities, and gain acceptance to an Iowa-based institution.
