Global Capacity

Connectivity as a service company Global Capacity recently announced the appointment of Bill LaPerch to its Board of Directors.  Mr. LaPerch is a telecom and technology industry veteran with more than 30 years experience and the former President and Chief Executive Officer of AboveNet Communications, Inc., a company he helped to establish as a recognized leader in providing optical connectivity solutions for Fortune 1,000 organizations.  He also currently serves on the Boards of Windstream Communications, Digital Realty Trust, Inc. and Imation Corp. as well as an advisor to both FirstLight Fiber and Cross River Fiber.

Prior to AboveNet, Mr. LaPerch was President of Network Services and President of Enterprise Services at Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc.  He was also Senior Vice President of Network Services at MCI and held various executive positions at NYNEX Corporation.  In his new role, Mr. LaPerch will be utilizing his proven leadership skills and his extensive network of customer, partner and vendor relationships to help foster the continued growth and innovation of Global Capacity in the global data connectivity market.
