The 13th Annual International Business AwardsSM named Rick Calder, President and CEO of GTT Communications, Inc. (NYSE: GTT), as winner of a Gold Stevie® Award for Executive of the Year in the telecommunications category.
Calder accepted the category’s highest honor bestowed by the premier global business awards program on behalf of his workforce.

Since taking the reins as President and CEO of GTT in 2007, Calder has overseen phenomenal growth at the leading global cloud networking provider to multinational clients. In recent years, the organization has dramatically expanded its service portfolio, increased its network size and physical presence in new markets, and bulked up its overall global workforce. For the second quarter of 2016, the company reported revenue growth of nearly 36 percent year-over-year.
“This is an exciting time for GTT as we continue our rapid growth toward our next financial objectives of $1 billion in revenue and $250 million in adjusted EBITDA,” said Calder.
An industry veteran with more than two decades in the telecommunications arena, Calder came to GTT after serving as President and COO for InPhonic, Inc., a leading provider of wireless services and products. He also served as President of Business Enterprise & Carrier Markets at Broadwing Communications, held senior management positions at Winstar Communications and co-founded GO Communications, a wireless communications company.
With this kind of drive and the momentum behind it, it is not difficult to see how GTT excelled in other areas recognized by the International Business Awards, which this year received more than 3,800 nominations across 60 nations from organizations in virtually every industry. GTT was also honored with a Silver Stevie Award for Company of the Year in the telecommunications category, and for the Fastest-Growing Company of the Year in Canada and the United States.
