In fact, a new report from 451 Research projects that the colocation data center market will reach $36 billion by the end of this year. Much of this explosive data center growth is a result of the increased adoption of cloud computing throughout various organizations. According to research firm, IDC, worldwide spending on public cloud services is expected to double from almost $70 billion in 2015 to a whopping $141 billion in 2019, further necessitating additional facilities to power the cloud.
