In July 2024, INCOMPAS expanded on the associations’ mission and capabilities by offering an insightful webinar titled, “Shaping the Digital Infrastructure Landscape of the Future.” INCOMPAS CEO Chip Pickering, and Ilissa Miller, CEO of iMiller Public Relations (iMPR), discussed key topics related to INCOMPAS, its members, and its mission on ‘The Hill’ on behalf of the industry. The discussion also focused on the Association’s AI initiatives, underway through the association’s Artificial Intelligence Competition Center (AICC). Key areas that INCOMPAS works on will be showcased at their annual event, the 2024 INCOMPAS Show, taking place in Denver, CO from October 20-22,2024.

At the onset of the program, Pickering set the stage by addressing the current challenges and opportunities within digital infrastructure that members of INCOMPAS and the association are facing. He highlighted the importance of regulatory frameworks that cultivate competition and drive innovation, particularly in expanding broadband access to underserved areas. As the leading trade association advocating for competition across all networks, INCOMPAS has the distinction of representing all facets of the infrastructure ecosystem. INCOMPAS provides expertise to companies building the networks and infrastructure to those driving demand and capacity needs.

A burgeoning area of interest for the global digital infrastructure industry is AI. With various unknowns about AI – including safety, security, accuracy and viability, INCOMPAS – once again – is at the forefront for the industry. At the end of the day, fostering competition is key for the INCOMPAS organization and AI technologies enable just that. Competition in AI is very important as that fosters safety, trust, cybersecurity and helps to define the requirements for  critical infrastructure, ways to optimize networks, and how to protect the privacy of users.
