infomart logoSANTA CLARA, CA – September 7, 2016 – Infomart Data Centers, a national wholesale data center provider, today announces that its President, John Sheputis, will speak at the Hosting + Cloud Transformation Summit (HCTS) hosted by 451 Research, taking place September 19-21, 2016 in Las Vegas.  Mr. Sheputis will also speak at VERGE 2016, taking place September 19-22, 2016 in Santa Clara, California.  HCTS is the premier forum for executives in the hosting, cloud computing, data center and internet infrastructure sectors, while VERGE is a global event series focusing on the technologies and systems that accelerate sustainability solutions across sectors in a climate-constrained world.

On Tuesday, September 20 at 2:30 p.m., Mr. Sheputis will join Uptime Institute’s COO, Julian Kudritzki, and 451 Research’s SVP of Research, Brett Azuma, on the panel “LinkedIn’s Collaborative and Holistic Approach to Efficient IT.”  The panelists will discuss the business-critical nature of data center sustainability for both data center providers and their tenants.  The discussion will also focus on LinkedIn’s strategic approach to reducing consumption in IT infrastructure, combined with new technology adoption and proven management principles.  Furthermore, it will explore LinkedIn’s newest next-generation data center, Infomart Portland, and how the facility has been awarded Uptime Institute’s M&O Stamp of Approval for efficiency measures across technology strategy, asset management and site design.

Mr. Sheputis will continue the conversation at VERGE 2016, presenting once again alongside Mr. Kudritzki as well as LinkedIn’s VP, Production Operations & IT, Sonu Nayyar, and BSR’s Manager, Advisory Services, Kelly Gallo, on the panel “Creating a Renewably Powered Data Center Infrastructure.”  Taking place Thursday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m., the panel will explore how many organizations are working with data center providers to achieve their sustainability and renewable energy goals.

The session will also focus on the Future of Internet Power’s “Corporate Colocation and Cloud Buyers’ Principles,” designed to effectively respond to business demands for continuous data access and agility at low cost and environmental impact.  The Future of Internet Power initiative brings together companies to address challenges and collaborate on solutions that will enhance the ability to procure renewable energy to power data centers.

“Sustainable IT operations begin at facility design and require participation from all parties,” says Mr. Sheputis.  “Infomart worked closely with our client to make sustainability a priority with our design team, our construction partners, our local utility,  and regional energy providers.  As a team, we have created one of the most sustainable IT operations in the world.  We look forward to sharing the learnings and findings of LinkedIn’s flagship Oregon data center with the audiences of HCTS and Verge.”
