Liquid Technology, an industry-leading IT asset disposition service provider, recently announced the results of their annual customer survey and released their findings to the public, allowing other businesses to garner crucial industry information. Each year, Liquid Technology sends a questionnaire out to their client base in an effort to learn more about industry trends and business drivers. This year, 49 clients were surveyed on a range of topics including cloud, IT expenditures, brand utilization, and equipment retirement. By amassing this information and sharing it publicly, Liquid Technology offers both valuable insight into the demands of businesses across multiple sectors and a helpful profile of the average IT customer. This enables other businesses to plan for the future and make informed business decisions.

Although the survey offered statistics on a variety of subjects, the strongest trend that the results showcased was a huge interest in the cloud. 36 percent of the surveyed audience (which spanned a number of industry verticals including finance, education and retail) reported having less than a quarter of their current infrastructure in the cloud. However, more than 63 percent also noted that their business will either definitely be shifting more into the cloud in 2019 or will be looking into making the switch. Eventually, more than 72 percent foresee that their company will eventually have a hybrid cloud solution.

As respondents reported, the cloud offers flexibility and reliability, among a host of other benefits. Although, as more companies move into cloud environments, the amount of unusable or obsolete equipment they generate increases. This is why proper IT asset disposition (ITAD) is critical in the age of the cloud. The survey reports that the majority of respondents see security as their greatest concern when considering the cloud, and nearly half forecasted the retirement of up to 1,000 pieces of equipment in 2019.

This is why Liquid Technology offers cloud migration strategies that include liquidation, e-waste recycling and data destruction. These services help businesses protect their sensitive information during business transitions and throughout the critical asset retirement phase of a cloud implementation. Liquid Technology’s complete, end-to-end equipment disposition services are e-Stewards Certified, R2 Certified and ISO 14001 Certified to ensure all business needs and regulations are met with ease and compliance to offer better security and maximized ROI. Gathering client information via this yearly survey helps Liquid Technology keep pace with customer requirements and stay abreast of industry concerns to continue offering the most critical transition services.
