LiveOak Fiber has made a major appointment to its leadership team, announcing today that it has named Shane Schilling as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). LiveOak Fiber is a regional service provider that builds and operates broadband networks in key markets throughout Florida and Georgia, and Schilling will be responsible for launching and strengthening the company’s operations.
Schilling brings more than 20 years of highly versatile telecommunications and digital infrastructure leadership to his new role at LiveOak Fiber. Prior to joining LiveOak, he served as the CTO of LOGIX Fiber Networks, where he helped to expand the largest fiber network in Texas. Schilling has also held leadership roles at Grande Communications and Atlantic Broadband, where he led core networking, back-office systems, corporate IT, cyber security, fiber construction, and service delivery.
According to Jody Craft, President of LiveOak Fiber, the appointment of Schilling exemplifies the caliber of leadership among the company’s management team, and demonstrates its commitment to delivering market-defining service quality and performance. “We are excited to leverage Shane’s deep experience in network engineering and service delivery as LiveOak continues implementing build-outs in our key markets,” says Craft.
