In order to improve public safety, many government entities are now making it mandatory to install in-building wireless DAS systems in buildings. The growth of 4G LTE networks is one of main drivers for public safety in-building wireless DAS systems. Moreover, a high amount of investment is going toward 5G development, focusing on higher frequency bands, new air interface transmission schemes and new antenna technologies. One of the major challenges in the public safety network market is the need of highly-skilled personnel to ensure proper installation and system performance.

Just recently, Gabe’s Construction Company, Inc. (Gabe’s) and its Wireless Solutions division enhanced its market-leading position in designing and deploying multi-layer, densified urban networks by incorporating Ranplan Wireless’ next-generation indoor/outdoor design solution into Gabe’s wireless services portfolio, including its use in public safety. Gabe’s also became the first organization to achieve a Preferred Service Partner status under Ranplan’s Professional Program.

“We are excited about this partnership with Ranplan Wireless and the advantages of adding this advanced tool’s capabilities to the service offerings of our Gabe’s Wireless Solutions division,” commented Matt Gabrielse, President of Gabe’s Construction. “With the addition of Ranplan, we have once again enhanced our ability to offer advanced engineering solutions by expanding our existing service portfolio of design, data collection, commissioning and testing of cellular and public safety networks.”

In integrating Ranplan’s next-generation indoor/outdoor design solution into its service portfolio, Gabe’s Wireless Solutions has established a new benchmark for solving the challenges of architecturally diverse indoor and outdoor environments. In becoming a Ranplan’s Preferred Service Partner, Gabe’s commits to upholding an advanced competency level with the use of the Ranplan solution. The company’s design and engineering teams completed an intensive, instructor-led Ranplan certification program and will also maintain an ongoing collaboration with Ranplan’s research and software development teams and regional leaders to provide technical feedback for the deployment of advanced software features into its projects.

Supporting 3G, 4G/LTE, 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Ranplan’s solution is an all-in-one, heterogeneous network planning, optimization and simulation solution for Small Cells, DAS and Wi-Fi across indoor and outdoor environments. Ranplan provides true indoor/outdoor HetNet design capabilities along with accurate modelling through true 3D ray-tracing. Providing its partners and the industry an alternative to traditional design software and delivering increased accuracy and efficiency, its solution offers fast prediction run time and advanced building structure modelling, from floors and stairs to tunnels.

“We have found that service providers like Gabe’s Wireless Solutions are increasingly focused on both in-building coverage and densification in urban environments,” remarked Alastair Williamson, CEO, Ranplan Wireless.  “Ranplan Professional offers our service partners the world’s only RF planning solution that allows both in-building and dense outdoor networks to be designed and deployed in coordination with a high-level of accuracy.”

“We are delighted that Gabe’s Wireless Solutions has invested in both our software and in achieving a high level of understanding of our solution capabilities,” added Mr. Williamson.  “Our relationship with Gabe’s is a critical step in our growth strategy of further penetrating the American marketplace.”
