Sabey Data Centers has released its 2024 Sustainability Report, revealing a 25.2% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions since 2018, even as the company’s overall electrical load has grown significantly. The report highlights progress toward Sabey’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2029 and details new collaborations shaping the future of sustainable digital infrastructure.
A Measurable Step Toward Net-Zero
The 2024 report outlines the actions Sabey has taken to reduce emissions and improve efficiency across its portfolio of more than four million square feet of mission-critical space. These include continued investment in carbon-free energy sources, optimizing building operations, and reducing emissions from HVAC and fuel systems.
Sabey’s reduction exceeds many industry benchmarks, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in responsible energy management. Nine Sabey facilities have earned ENERGY STAR® certification with scores above 90, and five achieved a top-tier score of 99 out of 100, underscoring Sabey’s commitment to operational efficiency.
