[Cambridge, Mass] – Sept. 14, 2026 – What if AI could do more than optimize how a data center operates, and instead reason about the physics of the entire system before it is built or changed?
Physical Superintelligence (PSI), an AI-native physics lab building virtual physicists to solve complex physical problems, today announces that Scott Charter, Head of Go-To-Market – Data Centers, will speak at AI Infra Summit 2026 on Thursday, September 15, in Santa Clara, California.
During the AI Infra Summit, Charter will participate in two back-to-back sessions examining one of the industry’s biggest challenges: how to design and deliver increasingly powerful AI infrastructure while confronting the physical limits of power, cooling, compute, land and speed to market. Charter will be presenting in back-to-back sessions:
On September 17, 2026, from 2:00–2:20 p.m., Charter will lead “The Use of AI and Physics to Optimize/Design More Efficient Data Centers,” exploring how AI-driven physics reasoning could change the way data centers are designed, tested and optimized.
Immediately following, from 2:20–3:00 p.m., Charter will moderate “Speed to Market in the AI Era: Delivering AI Data Centers at Scale,” alongside Nicolas Rbiez, Principal, Data Center Delivery Strategy & Performance at Microsoft, and Frank Stankunas, President of Silverback Concrete.
PSI approaches the data center not as a collection of individual components, but as an interconnected physical system. Its physics reasoning system, Emmy, models those systems, explores potential configurations, and tests and verifies proposed changes against physics, simulation and operating data, before customers commit capital or disrupt live operations.
For media covering AI infrastructure, data centers, energy, cooling or emerging applications of AI in the physical world, Charter is available to discuss what happens when AI begins reasoning about physics, not simply data, and what that could mean for the next generation of infrastructure.
