Spread Networks, a private company offering dark fiber and lit services between the greater New York and greater Chicago metropolitan areas, will be ‘hanging loose’ in Hawaii from January 19-22. The company will be attending PTC’14: New World, New Strategies at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu. With over 1,600 attendees, PTC’14 will concentrate on networking and negotiating, discovering what 2014 will bring and helping create new strategies for the new year.
Spread Networks’ fiber network sets a new standard for latency, providing the shortest and straightest route possible between New York and Chicago. Taking an entirely new and direct route, Spread’s fiber optic line is hundreds of miles shorter and milliseconds faster than other fiber optic connections between the two metro hubs, allowing Spread to offer unparalleled latency, reliability and bandwidth to customers demanding secure, high-bandwidth connectivity between major North American exchanges. The network is monitored 24/7/365 from the Spread Networks network operations center in Atlanta, Georgia.
The telco provider announced the opening of its new Point of Presence (PoP) at the NYSE Euronext data center in Mahwah, NJ earlier this month, coming on the heels of its recent new pricing promotion for 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps carrier-class wavelengths.
