Orange retains the top rank; Level 3 advances

global-lb-mid-2016-e1472652953500BOSTON, MA, September 7, 2016 – Vertical Systems Group’s Mid-Year 2016 Global Provider Ethernet LEADERBOARD results are as follows (in rank order based on retail port share): Orange Business (France), Colt (U.K.), BT Global Services (U.K.), AT&T (U.S.), Level 3 (U.S.), Verizon(U.S.) and NTT (Japan). The Global Provider LEADERBOARD is the industry’s benchmark for multinational Ethernet network market presence, ranking companies that hold a 4% or higher share of billable retail ports at sites outside of their respective home countries.



There were no new entrants to the LEADERBOARD based on mid-2016 share results. However, Level 3 moved up from sixth to fifth position ahead of Verizon. Level 3 also had the fastest growth in Global Provider ports among the LEADERBOARD-ranked companies during the first half of 2016.
