ZenFi CEO, Ray La Chance, to Discuss Fiber Architecture to Support Network Virtualization Strategies for HetNet RAN, Small Cells and CloudRAN

ZenFi LogoNew York, NY – August 25, 2015ZenFi Networks, Inc., New York City’s carrier-neutral fronthaul fiber provider, announces today that its President and CEO, Ray La Chance, will participate on a panel during the Tower & Small Cell Summit, taking place September 9-11, 2015 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. The Tower & Small Cell Summit, co-located with CTIA Super Mobility 2015, will focus on the opportunities and hurdles tower owners, operators, and supply partners face during this mobile broadband revolution.

On Thursday, September 10 at 3:00 PM, Mr. La Chance will join industry experts from SOLiD, Fujitsu, Wireless 20/20 and Dali Wireless on the “Network Virtualization Strategies for HetNet RAN, Small Cells and CloudRAN” panel, part of the event’s Mobile Network Densification Track, to discuss modern network virtualization strategies. This panel discussion will focus on the transition toward virtualized Radio Access Network (RAN) and how this new architecture is driving an increased need for high-capacity fiber optic fronthaul to support Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) connections between Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) and baseband pools, centralized data centers and carrier hotels.

“Meeting CPRI fronthaul requirements is a challenge for many of today’s mobile operators and service providers due to lacking current network topology,” explains La Chance. “To overcome this challenge and further enable urban Small Cells and Cloud-RAN technologies, ZenFi is facilitating dynamic capacity allocation to where it is needed by introducing its innovative All-Access Network.”

Realizing a need within the industry, the ZenFi team developed a progressive solution to increase the accessibility and affordability of bandwidth for mobile wireless applications.  ZenFi’s custom-built dark fiber network combines a unique metro Access Network with a core carrier Express Network to deliver a highly flexible, highly customizable, highly scalable fiber network. ZenFi’s Access Network was built to support widely distributed wireless equipment interconnection and colocation, while maintaining an Express Network route linking New York’s largest neutral data centers, carrier hotels and enterprise locations. ZenFi’s innovative, carrier-neutral Access and Express Networks address the challenge of deploying fiber-to-the-antenna in a dense urban environment.
