ZenFi CEO, Ray La Chance, to Discuss Metro Small Cell and Cloud-RAN Deployment Monday, October 19

ZenFi LogoNew York, NY – October 16, 2015ZenFi Networks, New York City’s carrier-neutral fronthaul fiber provider, announces today that its CEO, Ray La Chance, will present the session “Enabling Small Cells and Cloud-RAN for Metro Market Connectivity with the New All-Access Network” at the Marriott Marquis San Francisco during COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2015 Business Expo.

On Monday, October 19 at 3:30 PM in the Data Center & Cloud Platform Zone, Mr. La Chance will discuss the use of urban small cells and Cloud-RAN (C-RAN) as solutions for high-density mobile traffic throughout many major metro areas. In order to enable these solutions, a flexible, resilient and high-capacity All-Access Network is required to facilitate connections between end-user sites, centralized data centers and carrier hotels. During his presentation, Mr. La Chance will share with attendees critical insights into the many benefits of the new All-Access Network, while providing real-world applications and experiences utilizing this platform to enable urban small cells and C-RAN technologies.

“High-density mobile traffic is a common challenge in highly populated areas, making small cells and C-RAN deployment a necessity to overcoming connectivity problems,” explains Mr. La Chance. “In this presentation, I will share how the All-Access Network is enabling the rapid proliferation of urban small cells and C-RAN throughout major metro markets by supporting widely distributed wireless equipment interconnection and colocation.”

Realizing a need for a new network supporting Fiber-to-the-Antenna (FTTA), the ZenFi team developed a progressive solution to increase the accessibility and affordability of bandwidth at the edge.  ZenFi’s custom-built dark fiber network combines a unique metro Access Network with a core carrier Express Network to deliver a highly flexible, highly customizable, highly scalable fiber network. The ZenFi network distinguishes itself from traditional carrier networks by connecting antennas and buildings with neighborhood access networks that feed back to a core backhaul network.

ZenFi’s Access Network was built to support widely distributed wireless equipment interconnection and colocation, while maintaining an Express Network route linking New York’s largest neutral data centers, carrier hotels and enterprise locations. ZenFi’s innovative, carrier-neutral Access and Express Networks address the challenge of deploying FTTA in a dense urban environment.
