Industry leaders collaborate to shape the future of carbon reporting in data centers
Portland, OR – April 17, 2025 – ZincFive, a global manufacturer of nickel-zinc (NiZn) battery-based solutions for immediate power applications, announces that Jim Dietz, Vice President of Critical Materials & Sustainability, will be speaking on an expert panel at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Regional Summit in Dublin, Ireland. The session, titled “Digital Infrastructure Carbon Disclosure: Progress and Challenges,” will take place as part of the DC Sustainability track of the summit.
The panel will focus on the Carbon Disclosure Form, launched in beta in 2024 through a collaboration between OCP and the iMasons Climate Accord. Designed to help data center owners and operators better measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their physical infrastructure, the form aims to enhance customer-supplier engagement, standardize reporting practices, and provide greater transparency into embodied carbon across digital infrastructure. Leaders from across the data center ecosystem including operators, technology vendors, and sustainability advocates will discuss early findings from the beta pilot, remaining challenges, and the path forward toward an industry-wide standard.
