The global telecommunications industry is set to converge on Honolulu for the 39th annual PTC’17 conference, Asia-Pacific’s premier telecommunications event. This year’s theme, “Changing Realities,” will focus on the dynamic industry changes that are affecting the global digital economy, customer demands and the current regulatory landscape.
PTC’17: Changing Realities will also offer an opportunity to network and engage with some of the industry’s biggest influencers, such as Gold Sponsor SUNeVision Holdings Limited of Hong Kong, which is a premium carrier-neutral data center service provider. Since 2000, SUNeVision has owned and managed four facilities throughout Hong Kong including MEGA-I in Chai Wan, MEGA-Two in Shatin, ONE in Kwan O and JUMBO in Tsuen Wan (through its subsidiary iAdvantage Limited).
SUNeVision is still growing, as the company is preparing to add another facility to its portfolio of carrier-neutral data centers. In mid-2017, SUNeVision will open MEGA Plus, a Tier-4 ready greenfield data center that will feature a modular design. MEGA Plus will deliver reliable, scalable and secure infrastructure and services to multinational corporations and local corporate customers, including financial institutions, cloud service providers, local telecom operators and small to medium-sized enterprises.
MEGA Plus, the first greenfield data center in Hong Kong, will have 470,000 gross square-feet of space on an area that was set aside by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for high-tier data center development. This data center will be an addition to SUNeVision’s MEGA Campus, which is connected with a virtual data center to the MEGA-I and MEGA Two facilities.
SUNeVision boasts the most connected data center ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region, and soon will hold the largest market share in Hong Kong with about 1.5 million gross square-feet of data center space as well as connectivity to more than 100 telco carriers and more than 10,000 cross-connects. Plus, SUNeVision is positioned near nine submarine cable Points of Presence (PoPs), which enables the company to ensure low-latency and high-speed international connectivity.
“We are very excited to sponsor the annual PTC conference as we continue to extend our services to a larger global market,” stated Peter Yan, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, SUNeVision, about the upcoming event. “PTC provides an excellent platform to share ideas and opportunities with an international audience. Via the PTC platform, we’re looking forward to updating our peers and potential customers about the latest developments concerning our existing data centers, including MEGA-I, and the new addition of MEGA Plus in 2017. These facilities will better support the future growth of local and international companies, and provide unparalleled connectivity as well as reliable and fully customized solutions, which will ultimately benefit businesses in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region in the years to come,” Mr. Yan added.
