Deep Blue Cable, the developer, owner and operator of a state-of-the-art subsea fibre-optic system providing connectivity across the Caribbean islands and to the Americas, has announced that its CTO, Alasdair Wilkie, will speak at PTC’18 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Mr. Wilkie is also the Chairman of the Atlantic Cable Maintenance Agreement, a non-profit cooperative cable association whose members are companies responsible for the operations and maintenance of undersea communications and power cables, as well as Oil and Gas platform operators in the Atlantic, North Sea, and Southeastern Pacific Ocean.

Mr. Wilkie will join other subsea cable industry executives on the Submarine Cable Workshop 2: Critical Influencers of Network Availability panel exploring why undersea cables are critical in today’s world, and the challenges and methods to delivering submarine cables on time and ensuring their continued availability.
