Data center provider EdgeConneX® recently announced a new partnership with SummitIG to bring dark fiber connectivity to its Edge Data Centers® (EDCs) in Richmond and Norfolk, VA. The newly launched Richmond EDC will receive the new fiber infrastructure first, offering customers enhanced agility, security, and performance coupled with options for direct interconnection to Ashburn, Reston or Vienna on SummitIG’s lowest latency, 100% underground, unique fiber route on the I-95 right of way. For maximum redundancy, SummitIG will build directly into EdgeConneX’s Richmond EDC via its diverse building Points of Entry (POEs).
