New Continuum Holdings Corporation, a data center owner and operator that operates both New Continuum Data Centers (New Continuum) and United Internet Exchange, LLC (United IX), recently announced that their West Chicago facility was selected by New York’s Webair as their primary Midwest point of presence (PoP). Webair, a leading national Cloud and Managed Service Provider (MSP) to enterprises, institutions and government entities, specializes in hybrid cloud and disaster recovery services. From the West Chicago PoP, Webair will enrich New Continuum’s data center ecosystem with the delivery of Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), hybrid cloud services and bare metal managed colocation. Webair will also be contributing to New Continuum’s ongoing open development projects.
As a leader in defining next-generation, multi-tenant data center services, New Continuum’s flagship Chicago data center is engineered to provision customers with top-tier capabilities. The West Chicago facility delivers maximum flexibility and ample power redundancy and density, complete with customizable racks, dynamic cooling, private cages and suites and adherence to the highest standards of security and compliance. The site also has rich connectivity options and optimal traffic routing, which is enabled by their partnership with United IX, a network-neutral next-generation software-enabled interconnection platform.
New Continuum’s solutions provide Webair with the flexible power configurations, rich connectivity to a diverse network ecosystem and customer-centric approach needed to strategically grow their global footprint and deploy agile services. The strength of the physical plant, along with its truly elastic experience, made New Continuum’s West Chicago data center the superior choice for Webair’s expansion.
“We are excited to welcome Webair to our facility and to introduce the company’s managed IT solution portfolio to our ecosystem,” comments New Continuum Chairman and CEO, Eli D. Scher. “Webair is an established leader in the managed service industry adding a depth and breadth of solutions to our existing customers while gaining access to our premium infrastructure capabilities that enable them to deliver services more effectively. We are excited about the potential for Webair and for our customers to leverage their technology solutions.”
