In an effort to improve their asset visualization and management capabilities, network operators are increasingly seeking new technologies to replace legacy tools like spreadsheets. New developments in market acceleration platforms allow operators to avoid information silos and streamline network asset management, making it easier to meet customer needs.

Leading network software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider Connected2Fiber recently announced a partnership to provide its market acceleration platform to Southern Light, a service provider operating more than 6,000 miles of fiber optic networks for businesses, financial institutions, nonprofits and government entities throughout the southeast portion of the U.S. The partnership allows Southern Light to implement Connected2Fiber’s SaaS platform, The Connected World, and benefit from the connectivity industry’s first market acceleration platform offering market intelligence. The Connected World enables near-net and on-net location management as well as interconnection, building list automation and route tracking from an automated, user-friendly toolset.

Southern Light has also adopted Connected2Fiber’s Building List Manager, an automated software module for creating and distributing on-net and near-net building lists to drive wholesale and channel market participation, as well as the Building Intelligence market visibility module.

“The process of managing our locations, creating spreadsheets to share that information and mapping it to the formats our large carrier customers want has always been a challenge in the industry.  Now, with Connected2Fiber, we have a platform that can create, design and program building lists to be distributed in customer-preferred formats in less than four clicks,” said David Loeffler, Sales Director at Southern Light.  “We also get access to market visualization for the entire internal team, eliminating version control or information silos. We are excited to partner with Connected2Fiber and implement their platform to help drive growth.”

Connected2Fiber CEO & Founder Ben Edmond also commented on the partnership.

“We welcome Southern Light to our platform and look forward to helping them drive participation in the wholesale, channel and business markets, “ Edmond stated. “Southern Light is a leading provider of fiber transport throughout the gulf states, and we are excited for the opportunity to work with them. Location management and intelligence are at the heart of The Connected World; ensuring transparency for market intelligence and ongoing availability helps network operators like Southern Light grow.”
