Infomart Data Centers has announced the appointment of Tommy Gwinner as the company’s new Director of Technology. In this role, he will be responsible for the development of innovative strategies and the management of customer engagement throughout the organization as he maintains a national focus in support of the sales team. Mr. Gwinner will perform his duties while based in the greater Washington, D.C., area reporting out of Infomart’s new Ashburn, Virginia, facility.
Mr. Gwinner is a distinguished industry veteran with more than 16 years of data center and network experience, previously supporting the data center offerings of MCI, Equinix and RagingWire. He boasts a professional certification in data center design, allowing him to contribute heavily to many projects within the data center sector including product design and definition, technical training, technical pre-sales, carrier management, sales operations and building design.
“Tommy brings key insights and experiences from both sales and technical engineering perspectives to our Infomart sales team, and will be a critical factor going forward as we focus on achieving even higher commercial leasing results and seek to greatly expand Infomart’s national data center inventory and product offerings,” remarked Scott Mitchell, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Infomart Data Centers. “Tommy is well-known in the industry, having been involved with every facet of colocation.
