Cloud computing adoption continues to accelerate amongst today’s enterprises and SMBs, supporting and enhancing basic business functions such as collaboration and engagement as well as data management and visibility in order to enable more informed decision-making. The Cloud also enables other benefits, such as more rapid product and service innovation and substantial cost savings through pay-as-you-grow scalability and flexibility. More than 60 percent of enterprises will have at least half of their infrastructure and applications in the Cloud by 2018. U.S. SMBs are not far behind, with the number of Cloud-deploying companies expected to more than double by 2020, reaching nearly 80 percent. The Cloud has become the go-to solution for reducing costs and increasing IT efficiency, and recently, Webair extended our 12-year partnership with Telx® to make it even easier for customers to realize its benefits.
We are excited to announce our newest designation as a Telx Cloud Xchange partner. The Telx Cloud ecosystem makes it simple for businesses to select Cloud options that include both Cloud services and Cloud interconnections to address their growing IT needs. Becoming a Cloud Xchange partner enables Telx’s SMB and enterprise customers located in the company’s NYC1, NYC2, NY3, NJR1, NJR2 and NJR3 data centers to have direct access to Webair’s VMware-based Private Cloud. Carrier, financial and application, media, content, and SaaS providers located in these facilities can also access our Disaster Recovery solutions via dark fiber to NY1. The partnership provides Telx customers with access to secure, reliable and fully managed Cloud solutions while enabling Webair to further expand our customer base in the New York and New Jersey area.
A unique differentiator of Webair amongst Telx Cloud Xchange partners is our ability to take full ownership and responsibility of customers’ entire infrastructure stacks, managing all aspects of virtualization, scalability, security, load balancing, and more so they can focus on their core business. Our Private Cloud is also HIPAA-HITECH compliant, ensuring maximum data protection and safe transmission of healthcare and enterprise entities’ electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) in the Cloud. Thanks to Telx’s Points of Presence (PoPs) and secure cross-connects, Webair can bypass the public Internet and interconnect our Cloud solutions directly into customers’ existing network infrastructure, providing them with an added level of Cloud security.
In addition to being fully managed and custom-built to address the specific needs of many organizations, our Private Cloud allows customers to easily interconnect their Private Clouds with Bare Metal Servers and Public Clouds in order to create Hybrid Cloud environments. Additional features of our Private Cloud include multiple SAN Options, dedicated connectivity to redundant NFS / CIFS Cloud Storage, and a full range of Zerto-powered Disaster Recovery options across our global data center network.
Webair’s DR solutions are designed to fit various production configurations and provide customers with rapid data recovery in the case of an outage due to natural disasters, power or hardware failure, data corruption/deletion, and more. Our solutions also enable customers to meet continuity and compliance requirements, providing differentiated service levels as well as a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of seconds and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of minutes. Moreover, Webair provides access to Professional Services that automate customers’ DR solutions with existing customer workflows.
