Ray La Chance to Participate in Emergent Infrastructure / Technologies Session on Sunday, January 17

ZenFiNew York, NY – January 12, 2016ZenFi, New York’s carrier-neutral fronthaul fiber provider, announces today that its CEO, Ray La Chance, will participate in the panel session titled “Emergent Infrastructure / Technologies” during the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) annual conference at the Hilton Hawaiian Village® in Honolulu, Hawaii.

On Sunday, January 17 at 3:30 PM in room South Pacific 2, Mr. La Chance will join executives from Ciena and Infinera to discuss transformations in technology and the ways in which they affect how modern networks are designed, deployed, and maintained.  In this 90-minute session, the group will examine the growth of global mobile data traffic and explore the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead of today’s mobile operators, enterprises and telecommunications service providers.  During his presentation “C-RAN: A New Perspective on Mobile Network Infrastructure to Address Today’s Connectivity Challenges and Exploding Mobile Traffic Growth,” Mr. La Chance will discuss the benefits of the Fiber-to-the-Antenna (FTTA) network solution and the growing need for densification of mobile networks.

“Traditional fiber networks weren’t designed for the network fragmentation that carriers require today,” explains Mr. La Chance, “Mobile operators are working to improve user experience by evolving their networks to meet the modern demands of the exponential growth in data usage at the edge. In this presentation I will explore the role of the underlying fiber network and why we need a new network architecture to meet the densification requirements of carriers.”

The ZenFi network is custom built to support densification and increase the accessibility and affordability of bandwidth at the edge.  Offering a metro Access Network with a core carrier Express Network, ZenFi delivers a highly flexible, customizable, and scalable fiber network.

PTC’16 is Asia-Pacific’s premier telecommunications event. Entering its 38th year, this three-day conference continues to attract high-level executives and influential industry thought-leaders from around the world to network and plan for the year ahead.  This year’s conference theme, “Reimagining Telecommunications,” encourages attendees to reflect on technological achievements made while examining the possibilities for the future of the Internet of Things.
