Ray LaChance to Discuss New Dark Fiber Development in the New York Metro Area on Wednesday, June 22
NEW YORK – June 14, 2016 – ZenFi, New York’s carrier-neutral fronthaul fiber provider, announces today that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Ray LaChance, will participate in a panel session at Telecom Exchange NYC taking place June 21-22 at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan.
On Wednesday, June 22 at 1:20 p.m., Mr. LaChance will join executives from Cleareon Fiber Networks, Cross River Fiber, UNIFI Communications and Bank Street on CEO Roundtable 4, “Fiber & The City: Analyzing the Need for New Metro Dark Fiber Builds in and Around NYC.” As multiple providers construct fiber routes to and from key colocation sites and multiple-dwelling buildings in New York City, throughout the boroughs, and to Long Island and Northern New Jersey, the question remains whether there is adequate demand to justify these projects and their corresponding investments. During this presentation, panelists will discuss the drivers and benefits for these new networks, the challenges within the competitive marketplace and the new opportunities on the horizon.
“To support the densification requirements of carriers and enable the Internet of Things in major metropolitan areas such as New York City requires a purpose-built network,” remarks Mr. LaChance. “Along with my industry colleagues, I’m looking forward to discussing the advantages associated with deploying new fiber networks throughout the New York metro area in an effort to help Telecom Exchange attendees remain educated and informed.”
The ZenFi Network is custom-built to support densification and increase the accessibility and affordability of bandwidth at the edge.
